Hybrid Systems are fairly common, taking the best of both Hard Coat and EIFS systems and creating a system that adapts better to our Colorado climate. It allows for mass expansion and is very forgiving in cold climate areas. It is a procedure in which a hard brown coat is colored with an elastomeric color coat. The cost is a little higher, but the finished product is far superior and will last quite a bit longer. This procedure varies from one contractor to another. All doors and windows are left with a 3/8" gap for caulking purposes.
